Where in the UTCO-World is Mayor Corroon?

So I get it that Utah County is exactly a hot bed of support for the Corroon for Gov campaign, but I can't recall hearing about any campaign events in Utah County. I wouldn't spend a ton of time down here either, but you can't completely ignore Utah County. Richard Davis must be pulling his hair out. Just sayin...you know...Richard Davis must be pulling his hair out.

And to tag along on that note, just for fun; Can you tell me what's different between the campaign logo above versus the one below? And I'm not talking "Mayor" v. "Governor." There's something the Corroon Campaign isn't emphasizing in the statewide race.

  1. Ryan, re: the D label on the sign. I can't help but wonder if it is more a factor of the year than the geography. I live on the east side of Salt Lake County, in Pat Jones' ward, to boot, and none of the Democrat candidates' signs I've seen have "Democrat" or a party affiliation logo on them. Not Pat Jones, not Sim Gill, not any...I can't help wonder if it is more a sign of the atmosphere for Democrats than that state wide geography benefits Republicans.

  2. You make a good point. The perception of the national Democrat brand in Utah is about as low as its ever been. It was pretty low during the Clinton years, but there is a lot more anger among Utah voters towards the national Democrats this year than any I can remember (but then I'm not that old).

Still Democrats in Utah walk a fine line. I don't think Democratic candiates in Utah County have put a donkey on their signs in decades.
